- I was a self-taught artist for many years. My boys were teenagers when I earned my BFA at Florida Atlantic University. Then I took the Daily Painter's challenge and for over a year I painted daily, posting a small new painting almost everyday. This allowed me to explore many styles and techniques. I try to paint daily, but I no longer stress over trying to finish and post so many. I usually have large projects in progress, which takes much longer than the small daily studies I enjoy doing.
